For my Architecture II class, we were supposed to take our project from last semester to a whole new level. We learned a new 3D program, which allowed us to go into more detail with our house. This program, Revit, was a whole new way to look at architecture and the skills necessary to succeed. Once we completed our drawing, we were allowed to build our houses out of foam board. Unlike last semester, we were to build it completely by ourselves. Here is a picture of my finished project. I hope you like it!

ELECTRICAL PLAN

For this project we were to draw the necessary electrical plans needed for the house we designed. We researched techniques for light placement and designs. Once we figured out what we wanted to do, we put it to paper with the correct circuit calculations. Once we were done we were graded on quality of workmanship and the appropriateness of our decisions. I was very pleased with my choices and believe that they will fit this house very well.

As part of our Technical Manufacturing course description, we are supposed to learn how to apply weldments to parts while working in the Inventor program. The drawing that you see here was the second drawing that we did with weldments and we were able to apply the knowledge that we learned in class very easily. I hope you take the time to look at the pictures and see what great work we have done in class!

Hold-Down Clamp

This is a drawing that we did while in class that was meant to challenge our manufacturing skills. We were given a set of guidelines to follow such as; materials, dimensions, and descriptions. Once we finished the drawing, we were suppose to create a set of working drawings that had an isometric assembly, assembly section, and dimensioned orthographic views of all parts. In this picture, you will see an assembly view while were in the process of making the parts, and also a sectioned view from our working drawings. Hope you enjoy!

Today in Class

Today, we tested the Google Documents and also ESRI's Map app. We were trying to see if there was any link between the Basketball teams our school plays and their census values.

Technical Manufacturing

Over the course of this class, I will be learning many different skill envolving 3D modeling. By the end of this semester, I will have developed skills in weldments, fluid drawings, electronics, working drawings and the manufacturing process. I will be working in the program AutoDesk Inventor for most of my projects.
